Trash

This section will cover all you need to know about the Trash folder located in the Document Tree.

Whenever a page is deleted from the Document Tree, it is moved to the Trash.

Once moved to the Trash, however, pages' URLs are modified by adding "/*trash*/actual-date/" before the previous name.

Once in the Trash, pages can always be moved back to the Document Tree, to be reincluded in the website. For more information on this, please see Moving & Sorting Pages.

After moving a page from the Trash, however, you will need to change the URL in the "Page" tab, because, as mentioned above, the URL will have been altered upon the page's being sent to the Trash. For more information on how to go about changing the page's URL, please see our section on File URL.

In order to delete a page from the Trash for good, the process is just like that for deleting a page from the Document Tree. All you need to do is simply click on the small "x" to the right of a file's name while it is in the trash. A warning will always appear at the top of the "Page Structure" table asking if you really wish to remove the page. Simply click on the "Yes" button, and the page will be removed from the Trash.

Note: Once you remove a page from the trash, it is removed permanently and cannot be restored.
