Forums "Setup" Tab

The "Setup" tab allows you to customize various settings in order to ensure that the entire module is suited to best meet your individual needs and preferences.

Defaults:

In the "Defaults" section of the "Setup" tab, you can specify various default settings for posts and threads within your online discussion forums.

First, in the "Anonymous User Alias" field, you can enter a name that you would like to be used in listing the author of posts created by unknown users.

Then, in the "Default Thread Order" field, you can determine the order in which threads will be listed under a forum by selecting the desired option from the drop-down menu.

Next, in the "Default Post Order" field, you can determine the order in which posts will be listed under a particular forum or thread by selecting the desired option from the drop-down menu.

Finally, within the "Default Posts Per Page" field, you can specify the number of posts that you would like to be displayed on a single page when viewing a forum, thread, or list of search results, by selecting the desired number from the drop-down menu.

Once you are finished, simply click "Save" and the settings will be applied to the system.

Emails:

In the "Emails" section of the "Setup" tab, you can specify settings related to system-generated emails.

With the two fields provided, you can enter the name and email address that you would like all system-generated emails to appear as having been sent from.

Once entered, simply click "Save," and the settings will be applied to the system.
