How To Create Sticky Posts

Sticky posts are posts that remain at the top of discussion forums or threads, regardless of how many posts are made after them, as they generally contain information that is thought to be highly important to users' comprehension of the topic being discussed.

In order to create a sticky post, simply access the administration's "Browser" tab and click on the name of the forum to which you would like to add the post.

In the window that appears, click on the "Add" icon located in the upper right-hand corner and you will be presented with the "Post Form."

First, double check that the correct forum is displayed in the "Forum" drop-down menu, and proceed to select "Sticky Thread" from the "Thread Priority" drop-down menu.

You can then enter the text for the post's subject line and body as desired, as well as specify whether or not you would like to attach a file to the post and/or receive email notifications about future posts made within this thread.

Finally, you can select whether you would like the post to be made visible to everyone or to be left unmoderated.

Once you are finished, you can make use of the "Preview" button to ensure that the post's appearance is acceptable before clicking "Submit" and adding the sticky post to the forum.
