Placing Polls on a Page

In order to place a poll on a page within your website after it has been created, so that users can begin completing it, you will need to access the "Content Management" administration.

This can be done by either clicking on the "Content Management" icon on the administration homepage or selecting "Content Management" from the drop-down menu in the upper left-hand corner of the screen when working with any other module.

Once inside the "Content Management" administration, click on the name of the page within the "Page Structure" hierarchy to which you would like to add your poll.

Once clicked, open the page's "Content" tab and select the The image “http://master.aspiresoft.com/styles/spireadmin/icons/icon-edit.active.gif” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. "Edit" icon in order to begin editing the page's content.

In the window that appears, select the "Source" editor tab in the upper right-hand corner.

Once the "Source" editor window has opened, place your cursor in the location on the page where you would like the poll to appear and enter the following tag:

<sys:poll id="123"> </sys:poll>

For the id attribute, 123 should be replaced with the ID number of the desired poll, which can be found at the far left of its row within the "Polls" table, as pictured below.

Once the tag has been entered, click "Publish" at the top of the window.

Your poll will now be displayed on the selected page for users to complete.
